Our volunteers need your help to raise funds!

You can help to ensure the continued survival of our maritime heritage. By making a donation to the HUMBER KEEL AND SLOOP PRESERVATION SOCIETY you will help us, the volunteers, to continue to be able maintain, sail and exhibit the society's two important examples of the Humbers barging heritage. These are not modern replica vessels or converted to sail from later motor barges, they are original early 20th century working vessels of the Humber. Comrade was built in 1923 and Amy Howson is over 100 years old being built in 1914. Both Comrade (keel) and Amy Howson (sloop) are local built historic working vessels that are also part of the National Historic Fleet and have a direct association with the growth of maritime trade throughout the Humber region. Any donation made will help to ease the cost of maintenance and fixed expenditure like safety equipment, insurance and mooring fees. We are continually looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the society. If you are interested in playing a part in local maritime history visit our web site for details. www.keelsandsloops.org.uk
