House of Hope

"House of Hope" is a rescue home for girls ages 12-18 who have been traumatized by sex trafficking.  

As many of you know sex trafficking is an epidemic and there is a desperate need for this home to be opened.  Thank you for your consideration in making this home for girls a reality.

We have immediate needs for donations of ANY AMOUNT so that we may obtain our license to operate from the State of Georgia.

- This home will allow 8 girls to have their own bedroom.  
- House parents will be in the house 24/7

To Get Up and Running, we need the following within 30 days:

*Installation of two (2) showers
*HVAC work
*Electrical work to pass inspection
*Administrative fees paid to work on policy manual
*Preparation of kitchen and bedrooms for occupancy
*Painting of inside of house
*Donation of passenger van or funds to purchase one
*Replacement of Downstairs flooring 

Would you consider being a sponsor for one room? We need 10 sponsors who will get to decorate and set up the room with bedding and a twin mattress.  

It would be such a blessing to partner with you to get this therapeutic group home up and running within the next 30 days.  If you would consider donating towards the fund or picking an item and hiring your contractor to donate any of these items, we would be forever grateful.  
Some information about me, Darcelle Burandt:

-I have worked at the mental health hospital, Saint Simons By the Sea, for the past 6 years as an adolescent therapist and in admissions.

-I Counsel at Centered for Life as a Christian therapist.

-I Acquired my Masters in Professional Counseling and obtained my LPC license in clinical counseling. 

-I Obtained certification in EMDR treatment which is the preferred treatment for PTSD.
 
-I Trained in healing prayer with Judith and Francis McNutt. 

For those of you who know me well you know I have been talking about opening a group home for children for the past 10 years. This past Wednesday we closed on the soon to be “House of Hope”!

For 10 years, I have been preparing for such a time as this. I have been blessed in my own journey to healing with all the tools I will be utilizing in this therapeutic group home. These girls will come into our home weighed down with significant trauma and my hope and goal is to journey with them thru the trauma to restore their heart and make it whole again.  

My plan is to have them spend a year going thru boundaries, trauma and spiritual direction and transition them into a House of Hope foster care home. Please feel free to share with anyone that might want to be a part of this!

I know this house is going to be a blessing and I believe I have been called to this work. My prayer is that each girl that comes thru this home over the years will feel safe, loved and deeply valued.
