Shneur is one of the sweetest people you can ever meet. Always with a smile, always ready to help. That is when he is feeling well. He been that way since earliest childhood. He has always been long suffering and he never complains.
It was when he was 15 years old, learning in a yeshiva school in Chicago, when he was suddenly struck with an undiagnosable disease. He got what seemed to be a simple cold. But it was a few weeks later he become psychotic. When he recovered he became so, so tired. He would sleep for up to 20 hours a day. Two weeks later he seemed 100% fine. But this cylce returned over and over for more than two years. Because of the psychotic symptoms he could only be treated if he carried a psychiatric diagnosis. So he did (and does). After all, how else can normal American get his or her medicine and doctors' appointments paid for.
But since he does not fall into the normal diagoses, no normal treatment ever helped. How could it? Now 28 years old he has missed his teenage years. All the medicines that the psychiatrists prescribe have only cuased terrible side effects. Nothing helped until now. Now there is finally some real hope. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or TMS. He needs to go through a three week treatment in Palm Beach Florida. (I will be explaining this treatment in a few days). Each day costs $750. He wants to contribute his own funds of $2500. But with all the other expenses.....Well you know the story.
