Help Katarina Have A Beautiful Burial

Donation protected
My sister Kat is only 22 years old she has a 3 year old daughter Kaylah. For the past 3 or 4 years of her life she's battled a cancer called Choriocarcinoma. It's a cancer that's is rare but develops during a pregnancy that goes wrong. After giving birth to her daughter back in 2009 she got pregnant a few months later and that's when we were told of the cancer she had. She spent countless days in the hospital getting chemotherapy and it was rough but after months went by she was cancer free! Now 3 years later right after her 22nd birthday she was admitted in the hospital. After finding a tumor in her lung, she underwent surgery to have it removed as well as half her lung not knowing she already had 5 more tumors in her brain. After suffering a stroke, they found the tumors in her brain. She underwent emergency surgery to remove the largest tumor which was about the size of a golf ball. Chemotherapy and radiation were used to treat the 4 other tumors which had shrunk. After a long 7 months of being in the hospital she was excited to come home, just hours before she would be discharged we found out had leukemia. From so many pervious treatments the leukemia developed and was 90 percent full in her bone marrow. She went through the highest dosage of chemotherapy only to find out it didn't work at all. After days of seeing her life quality decrease we decided putting her in hospice would be best. It has been the hardest decision to make but she has been in constant pain crying and screaming and we wanted her pain free. As I write this I'm laying right next to her heart broken and empty. The money raised will take such a weight off our shoulders to help with funeral arrangements. My family and i appreciate anything that will help from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you,
Christina

UPDATE: Today September 4th 2013 at 11:25 am, Katarina lost her battle to cancer. We are grateful that she is no longer in pain. We ask for prayers for her soul as her spirit has moved on. Thank you.

UPDATE: Please take a moment to look up the cancer that started Kats long and painful battle, Choriocarcinoma. It is a rare form of cancer but with the right treatments can be 100% curable! However, it could happen to ANY woman! Unfortunately Kat was not properly taken care of with follow up visits and her cancer spread further then it ever should have. She suffered an extreme amount of pain this last time around fighting the disease and it ultimately took her life. Don't let this happen to a woman you love! Please stress the importance of yearly OB/GYN visits and proper prenatal care during pregnancies. It could save the life of you or someone you love.

We love you Katarina and we know your story WILL save the life of another woman! Thank you for your love & support.

God Bless.
