Help Kids/Moms in Cuba & Venezuela

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Cristina Fernandez Rice and I am a mother, daughter, sister and a friend. In the professional world I currently work as a fashion designer. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary and Special education, a minor in psychology and a masters degree in Varying Exceptionalities and Educational Leadership.  I have a passion for life, family, humanity, fashion, dance, music and travel.

I am a Cuban American born in Miami to parents in exile. After a recent visit to Cuba, the poverty within the country and the lack of access to any resources and basic fundamentals for moms to provide to their children was made prominent to me and was extremely heart breaking.  I am a mother of three,  a step mother to two and was a legal guardian to one. I have always had a deep love for children and a natural connection with most kids that I encounter.  I would love to help all the moms that I can by providing them with clothes and essentials to give to their kids. I would love to make it possible for them to give their child a special something on a birthday, a holiday or on any given day. What child does not dream of a new dress or a pair of new shoes at some point in their life?
I would also like to provide these women with clothing for themselves, so that they may be able to wear new clothes and feel worthy and good about themselves now that the world around them seems to provide nothing more than negativity and no sense of hope for a better future for them or their babies.
All the sadness and poverty that I saw still surrounding the people of Cuba and now Venezuelans as well has really served as a motivation for me to help make their lives better within my means.

Living in this mixing pot we call Miami, I  am surrounded daily by many Cubans and Venezuelans amongst other nationalities living in exile. They are suffering daily by the oppression of the communist regime in their countries. Venezuelans have been the recent victims of much terror and political turmoil. Dally we hear of people losing their loved ones who were innocent and fighting for their liberty. Today I think of all the women left without husbands, children losing their mothers and/or fathers and even worse the children themselves dying in this senseless war!

Both countries can use all the support they can get. Bottom line is that COMMUNISM SUCKS!  I humbly ask all my friends, acquaintances and whoever reads this to please donate as much or as little as you can and join me in putting a happy face on these children and in bringing a smile to these mothers, even if it is just for a moment!  It will be greatly appreciated  ***EVERY DONATION HELPS!!*** A little goes a long way:)

All The funds received from this donation will be spent on necessities, mainly articles of clothing, that will be bought and donated to those families in need in both Cuba and Venezuela.  The clothing will be bought and packaged according to gender and size mainly for children and mothers in despair. Thank you all from the bottom of my ❤️ for joining our mission! I will share pictures of the process!
