Fighting BC & Trigeminal Neurolgia

Donation protected
Brenda Farris is fighting breast cancer. After an entire life spent homeschooling, serving at church, and donating countless hours to others, Brenda Farris was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Through several years of remedies, she has won that initial battle. Since it is metastatic, it can return at any time. But for now, she and her family are grateful for the recession.
A week after the joyous announcement, another battle began: trigeminal neuralgia. It is idiopathic - medical science cannot explain it. It is, as yet, uncurable - the only treatments are pain management, the underlying cause is never removed. It is lifelong - it doesn't leave by treatment nor time. The pain is intense - thought to be "the most painful condition that is known in the medical world." Disturbingly, it is known by the appellation "suicide disease."
But she fights.
She continues her service to family, friends, and community. She continues to work and learn and be a blessing to all around her.
Nearly every day involves more pain than most have ever experienced.
In her battle against both cancer and trigeminal neuralgia, she has reached a level of healthy living few would consider in both exercise and eating. Her dedication goes so far that she wants to join a team for the Oregon Warrior Dash on May 19th - while still battling against cancer and suffering several trigeminal neuralgia attacks weekly.
We want to sponsor this courageous woman, bring awareness to this debilitating disease, and help her and her family in their continued battle.
