Hello everyone,
We are helping a senior family with a stray cat/kitten problem and desperately need your help.
This lovely couple have been feeding a few cats for the past year and have come to realize that the cats have had kittens and now the kittens are growing up fast.
Being on a fixed income, it has been very difficult to care for this family of kitties and although neighbours originally provided help and suport, not many are still around and now they serious need help.
They have called us to help trap these older kittens. We are working with the couple to rehabilitate the kitties but they all need to be vetted and sterelized as soon as possible.
There are many negelcted and unwanted cats that are left out to fend for themselves and when they are not sterelized, a female will produce as many as 2 to 6 kittens in each litter.
Cats generally have their kittens 58 to 65 days after they are bred.
A female cat is also unusual in that she basically will keep coming back into heat every 14-21 days or so until she is bred or the amount of daylight decreases (October).
The average cat could have 3 litters a year.
This is why we are asking for your help for an important cause that will save lives. One cat spay/neutered saves an average of 18 cats!
The funds will be used to feed the kitties while being rehabilitated and to get them vet checked, get vaccines and spay/neuter.
