Lucie is a child who suffers from a very rare condition called superior mesentric arterial syndrome. She is in pain 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is in need of specialist care. We are raising money for her parents to be able to seek medical help from the private sector, the NHS are saying there's not much more they can do for her except pain relief. We feel that if she can see a specialist in this condition, there may be some relief for this beautiful child. She is fast losing hope. Please help.

What another long emotional week! Here's an update. Inflammation has been found on Lucie's bowel and in small of her back, since coming to Kings Hospital in London, this is shown on the MRI she had whilst here. She is currently fighting a gut infection too.

Lucie had a laparotomy on Thursday and was in surgery for over 4.5 hours, she had a piece of bowel removed and an abnormality has been found on her spleen (since found out this was missed on the MRI) we are awaiting further tests and results. She has been able to sit up and have this photo taken, and is not in such terrible agony since the op. We know it's not much progress, but it's small steps towards getting her sorted out and back to the strong, healthy, beautiful young lady she is.
We are still so emotional when we see the amazing amount of money that people are still raising for Lucie. Thank you so much for your continued support. xx

Great progress! Lucie was on BBC South East with her mum earlier. The story is really getting out there, which is not only good for Lucie, but also good for awareness that this condition even exists.

Also, our local MP Rehman Chishti has been raising this in the houses of parliament today!

If you'd like to read up about what's happening regarding the press and the government support in Lucies case, please follow the link.

Again, thank you so much for all of your donations.

No updates for few days as Lucie had real tough time at the weekend as her pain has not given her any break.
:( This picture is only slight relief for us today, to see her resting. We just want to cry.
On a brighter note, the local MP is now on board, and he is trying to help Lucies mum to talk to the hospital about this situation. We are so hoping he can get things moving for Lucie.

Thanks again for your continued support. Please keep sharing xx
