When Kellie and Erik found out they were pregnant it was a joyous celebration.  They have always known they wanted to be parents. Both of them love children and met working with kids at YMCA camps in Michigan.   When they told me they were pregnant with twins it came with a looming cloud, the smallest twin may not make it , he was just so small.   Then he did.  From the moment Kolton and Keegan were born both boys fought to thrive.  Kolton, our littlest one especially.  Kolton has recently begun his recovery from open heart surgery.  Kellie and Erick give so much to their friends and community,  I am here asking you to help this beautiful family get back on stable ground.  Please, follow this amazing families journey at

Thank you so much. Together we raised $3,395 to keep the roof over this family's head, utilities working, and food in their bellies. Kellie and Erik did an amazing job supporting their tiny preemies through long NICU stays and open heart surgery. So many scary moments they faced together and with our thoughts, prayers, and resources united we were in the background cheering them on. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and I know that Kellie and Erik feel the same way. Thank you.

Sweet Smith family I got an answer from Ronald McDonald House in Aurora: The Ronald McDonald House in Aurora is a place where families are able to stay while they have a child in the hospital. The Smith's and their other child are welcome to stay at no charge while their child is receiving treatment. At the House they can get meals, a shuttle ride back and forth to the hospital, laundry, and much more. If you would like to talk with the House Manager about staying please call Corin at 720 324-2400 she will be happy to help you out.

You can take our Christmas card picture!!!! I love you guys so much and just want you all to be happy and safe at home. It is a hard row.. but like my grandma always said.. it might be a hard row to hoe.. but it aint gonna hoe itself.. so just one step at a time and one whack of the hoe and you will get it done.
