Jordan Sprunger Fights Brain Cancer

At the age of 25 and near the end of his studies as an engineering student at OIT, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, my son in law Jordan was diagnosed with life-threatening brain cancer called, Anaplastic astrocytoma.
On January 8th, 2018, Jordan underwent conscious brain surgery. The tumor was placed directly on the motor skills part of his brain. Although the Neurosurgeon was able to remove all of the visible tumor, unfortunately Anaplastic astrocytoma is a form of a very invasive brain cancer called “Glio”, which branches off microscopic pieces off the tumor that are physically impossible to remove via surgery.
Jordan will be starting radiation, along with chemotherapy once he recovers from brain surgery. He is having to take Physical and Speech Therapy and could take up to a full year to re-gain his strength and speech back. The Neurologist told us there is no cure for this cancer, but we believe Jordan is in God’s hands and we will never give up hope as we pursue all types of treatments available.
My daughter Kelly, is a full time Secretary/Bookkeeper at Brixner Junior High School. She will be taking a leave of absence from her job to concentrate on helping Jordan through these uncertain days, months to come. Already finically struggling due to Kelly being a type 1 diabetic and Jordan being a full-time college student with plenty of student loan debt, they now even more fear their future and financial situation with the extra expenses a tragedy like this brings upon.
Jordan loves the Lord and his family. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing and working on cars. Our Family was Blessed to have Jordan come into our lives six and a half years ago when he started dating, and soon after, married our daughter Kelly. He is a very loving Husband, Son, Brother, and Uncle. Jordan, in my opinion, has the biggest heart ever, kind and caring, always greeting people with a huge smile.
