Sherry's Cancer Treatment Fund

We are trying to raise funds for our dear friend Sherry Parker Hornbuckle who for years has been there for us in many different ways.
Sherry was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in August of 2013. She went through 32 rounds of radiation and 7 rounds of chemo therapy while still working full time as a care coordinator in an assisted living facility. Her positive attitude and her zest for life while fighting cancer the first time was inspiring to everyone around her.
However on October 31st, 2016 she received devastating news that not only did the cancer return, but it has spread to her lungs. On the same day that she was forced to digest this news, she received a phone call from her husband informing her that he had been just laid off from his job which resulted in the loss of his insurance benefits. This was quite the financial hit for their family.
While Sherry continues to have a positive attitude and plans to continue to work full time as a Care Director at Bel Aire Senior Living, we hope to be able to help her ease this financial burden and raise enough money so that she can start the treatments immediately.
Sherry is a mother of two beautiful children and three precious grandchildren. Her family means the world to her. She is the most carrying and compassionate woman we have ever known. She would give anyone the shirt off her back. We have designated her our "family therapist" since she spends much of her time counseling many of us on our so-called problems, and now it is our time to return the favor.
The costs Sherry faces for this treatment are terrifying but when the only other option is giving up and dying, she is determined to find a way to keep herself alive.
It would mean the world to Sherry and her family if we could meet our goal for this campaign.
