Flint, MI. a city with over 60% African-American residents, does not have drinking water. Our bothers and sisters in Flint are consuming contaminated water with toxic levels of lead.

We MUST do something as a community other than creating a catchy #hashtag and talking about it on Facebook, so we are committing to sending 400 cases of water to Flint.

We will be shipping all cases to:

Triumph Church, 1657 Broadway Blvd., Flint, MI 48506

What's happening in Flint, to tax paying citizens of this country, is totally unacceptable. We can no longer sit idle and do nothing. The onus is ON US.  For the price of a cup of coffee or a lottery ticket, you can gift the sustainable gift of water for $3 a case.

Please consider donating to help us get 400 cases of water to the residents of Flint.

"We gotta do something about Flint."

That's the Facebook message I sent to my United Sisters of Color Co-founder and friend, Stephanie Johnson; one of my oldest friends, who I consider my brother from a different mother, Charles Loftland of The Uplift Institute; and my business partners over at Culsire.com LaNee Javet and Jamie Robinson. Because of that message and the support of all of you, we were able to send:

300 (40-pk) cases - sent to Triumph Church in Flint
389 (35-pk)cases - collected and delivered by community/business/school groups throughout the city
50 boxes of baby wipes

689 cases, 25,615 BOTTLES OF WATER! That's right! You're support sent 25,000 bottles of water to a city in need.

We did it! Thank you all!

If you want to continue to support Flint, there are a bunch of other campaigns on gofundme or check your local community or business groups to see if they are doing anything.

GREAT NEWS! Just got off the phone with the manager at the Flint Sam's Club... their pallets of water are much cheaper and we avoid paying the high shipping fees. So we've arranged for our contact at Triumph Church to pick up the water every Thursday until we run out! WOOT WOOT!
