Help Alexis Rivera Beat Cancer!

Alexis Rivera is a 25 years young skateboarder, videographer and photographer from beautiful Puerto Rico who is known around the world for his gifted athletic talents, his unique perspective behind the lens but way more for his big heart and humbleness, qualities which make him one of the most positive and hard working human beings you can meet.
In October, during a recent trip to the United States in which he was working to bring exposure to a group of Puerto Rican children competing on a major skate contest that took place in Florida, Alexis started to experience much pain and swelling in his groin area. As soon as he came back to Puerto Rico, he checked in to the hospital and had to undergo an emergency operation to remove what seemed to be a tumor. Two weeks later when the tumor biopsy results came in, Alexis was diagnosed with cancer, which originated in his testicular area and has now spread towards his abdomen.
Previous to his soon to start chemo treatment, Alexis had to undergo various studies which weren't covered by his health insurance. As of now, Alexis is slated to begin his chemotherapy sessions this friday December 6th. His oncologist is very optimistic of his recovery due to Alexis' athletic condition and his high spirit and will to overcome his illness.This has been a rough couple of months for him, his family and friends. This page was created to raise funds towards life expenses that he and his family will incur throughout this long journey ahead. Please feel free to contribute whatever you can, help spread awareness and support during this tough time. Anything will be appreciated! With your help, we can help chip away at the costs of Alexis' growing medical bills and also help his family cover basic costs to take care of him, including his recovery, their transportation for visits to the hospital and assistance to cover living costs.
