Help Sarah read/write - Stroke age 18

£13,564 of £20,000 goal

Raised by 319 people in 67 months
Because of her stroke, Sarah is fighting aphasia. Her public battle to regain her ability to speak, read and write has inspired people worldwide. Therapy is ongoing and after spending time in the USA last year, Sarah made 40% improvements in her speech. Sarah already works with charities such as the Stroke Association, Connect, and featured in The Undateables on Channel 4 Television. This treatment is expensive, but we intend to lobby to make this kind of intensive therapy available on the NHS, in order to help other people with aphasia - over 350,000 in the UK alone.
