Help Ruth Start Over

$4,825 of $20,000 goal

My name is Carol Lee. I am starting this fund for my sister Ruth. She has been evacuated from her home now for 4 days. Her home is in Longmont, CO. Much of Northern Colorado is under water. Many,

many people have lost their homes. And many of those people did not have Flood Insurance. And Ruth was one of them. She is simply devastated! She can not go back and salvage anything until FEMA lets her. And they may not let her. The levy's in Longmont broke in the flood. And the officials believe her home has been sitting in water and sewage for most of this time. She is uncertain right now if they will even let her salvage anything. Right now she is staying with friends.

My hope and prayer right now for her, is that she is able to get answers soon. So she will know what lies ahead for her, and will be able to start over much sooner then she planned. I hope as people read her story, that they are touched enough to give her this gift.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

UPDATE: It has been a month since Ruth left for North Carolina. She is now back in Colorado. It is really hard to start over in a place that you have never been. The job market there is horrible no one is really hiring unless you want to volunteer. The island she was living on was beautiful, but there is no place like being with family when times are so tough. She needs are prayers and donations now, more than ever. She will be looking for work and staying in Colorado so she can be close to family and friends. We are all glad that she is back safe and sound. Taking one day at a time she will get through this. Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support.

Ruth has a new start after loosing her home and almost all of her personal possessions, and her job in the Northern Colorado Flood. She finally arrived in North Carolina last night. She left for NC 9 days ago. She is staying with a friend there for now. Ruth was excited to say, that she has purchased her 1st piece of furniture, a bed today. I believe she has a job interview soon. I am not sure when though. She sounds really good and is looking forward to her future. Lets pray she is able to find work really soon. She has not worked for almost 2 months and she needs to find work. But she has a place to live for now, and is really positive. Thank you all for you many prayers, kind words, and financial donations. This is helping so very much in this desperate time of need. She does not have internet. So I will continue to do updates for her. She sends her love to all of you! God Bless

Over 1900 families have lost their homes and personal belongs due to flooding in Northern Colorado a little over 6 weeks ago. It has been overwhelming for so many! Ruth lost her home, belongings, and also lost her job, because of this flood. She has sent out many resumes and is very excited to share that she will be moving to NC tomorrow. She has a job interview when she arrives! And God willing, she will be a perfect fit! If not she will stay in NC with a girl friend and continue to apply for jobs. She plans on renting her own place after she finds work, and saves enough to start over. This trip is expensive for her and without all your help this move would not be possible. Thank you all, for your prayers, love, well wishes, and the many donations that are helping her make it through, towards a happy new beginning. She wishes many blessings to all of you!

DONATIONS HELP REBUILD LIVES of the thousands of people who have lost everything, or been displaced from their homes until they can be restored. Many will go back home and many families won't be able to. Whether you donate to Ruth, to help her start over, or somewhere else your donations matter! You help someone who truly needs and appreciates your help. Each and everyone of you are a gift and I thank you! Together we have raised $4,345.00 on www.gofundme.com. And many people have taken the time to go to a 1st Bank of Colorado and deposit into the: Benefit Account for Ruth A Murphy. So far $1,050.00 has been deposited into her account. Thank you to all of you who have opened up your hearts and given a financial gift to Ruth. With every dollar given we are closer to making our goal!
Ruth spent this past week sending out resumes, filed for unemployment, and filled out many forms with FEMA. She is staying with family for now, until she has some direction as to where she will relocate. It has been a month since she has lost everything. She is now so positive about starting a brand new chapter of life. Let's keep her in our prayers, thoughts and hearts as she embarks on each new day. Thank you and God Bless!
