Help Jay Make the Pay!!

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Jaylun Cook. I am currently a sophomore in High School and a future People to People Ambassador.  I am sixteen years old and planning for my future academic and professional career. In addition to focusing on my studies, I'm also a musician. I am writing my local business professionals to inform them of a wonderful academic, cultural, service and conservational opportunity that has been presented to me through Dwight D. Eisenhower's People to People Ambassadorship Program.  

Come June of 2013, I have been given an opportunity to travel abroad to Australia on an incredible journey.  Through this journey, I will have the chance to learn a newfound confidence, gain immeasurable maturity and self-awareness via a unique combination of education and adventure through this decade's old international program designed to teach responsibility as well as to educate young travelers, such as myself, to thrive outside of their home environments. 

Additionally, through this program I will learn the skills and gain the respect of my future college hopefuls that will afford me the opportunity to attend colleges. This program has a proven track record that 80% of Student Ambassadors have a success rate of gaining acceptance into their first University of choice. I would love that opportunity and statistic on my side!

As a precursor to acceptance in the program, the tuition must be raised in order to participate. As I commence my fundraising endeavors, I am reaching out to everyone, hopeful to gain your support.

I am writing everyone to request sponsorship so that I may embark on this incredible journey.  If you find it within your means and ability to sponsor me for this endeavor I would greatly appreciate it.  There are so many other teenagers that would love to have this opportunity I have been blessed with to undertake.
