I never thought I would be in this position, but here I am asking for your help.
Unfortunately, I am leaving a broken marriage. I have two wonderful girls, and my soon to be ex-husband has not provided any financial support for them since our decision to go our separate ways.
The adjustment has not been easy. With the added legal expenses pursuing a divorce, as well as securing custody of my two children, my finances are virtually exhausted despite substantial help from my brother.
Who does this fund benefit? My children.
Where will the money go? The funds raised here will help cover legal expenses related to my ongoing divorce...as well help secure custody of my children.
It would be very easy to mention all of the ugly details and drag names through the mud, but that is not my intention. My intent is to finalize my divorce and to secure custody of my children.
I have done my best to keep my family financially afloat, and fortunately, my divorce attorney has been accommodating and understanding of the situation.
But due to the protracted legal situation, I find myself in need of help. My trial is coming soon and I am scared to death that I will lose my lawyer before the trial happens.
So, I am reaching out to my friends old and new, near and far. Any amount will help. At this point, I feel like I am out of options and have nowhere else to turn.
