 #500Strong  Mochica-Chimú members strive to revive their traditional fishing practices, and you are the key to strengthen their efforts.                                                  

The Mochica-Chimú culture despite of being ancient heirs of all the northern coast of Peru, they have slowly lost almost all of their traditions and territories due to problems caused by the ENSO(El Nino southern Osciliation) and the illegal traffic of lands. 

                                                                 We need your help!

With your contribution, indigenous fishermen will recover the first 5 out of 70 totora ponds. These ponds are of great value in lessening the impacts of climate change due to the groundwater balance.



Thanks to you, the #500Strong project can revitalize the traditional fishing practices of the Mochica-Chimú community to break the cycle of poverty and maintain the biodiversity of the Huanchaco region.
