A woman of 70 years should never face eviction. Long time Harlem resident, Sybil Ward will face the threat for the 2nd time on December 20th. We are asking for assistance with legal fees.
Sybil shares this story with other senior Mitchell Lama residents who are being uprooted after years of monetary and sweat equity in Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) buildings. An organization that was developed to create home ownership opportunities for minority communities has transformed into a predatory agency, determined to remove our elders and replace our culture.
We need more residents like Sybil, who will stand and speak out against injustices, but she needs our support. Please donate to assist with legal fees, so we can keep our communities intact.
