Save the Ranch that helps Children with Disabilities

Donation protected
All money raised will be turned over to HHPD Ranch on August 30th 2013

HHPD Ranch has lost its facility. Bank of America took our property right out from under us. They told us they did not care that we do 100% free horse back riding for People with disabilities. They are heartless and cruel. We need to raise as much as we can to get a new permanent Place and the rest of the equipment needed to re start the program. This will insure that all the disabled will get to ride free forever, and we will never have to do another fundraiser ever again. We will be able to do 1,700 free rides for the disabled per month. please help us reach this goal. Please forward this to everyone you know, tweet it, face book it, e-mail, mention it. even a $1.00 donation and then you forward this to 100 people helps. The most important thing is to pass this site along to as many people as you can!

HHPD Ranch has an open door policy, meaning you can Come to the ranch at anytime with out calling or notifying us. You may talk with the parents of the disabled children, Watch the program as it happens, Look at donation logbooks, expense logs etc, etc. We are a 100% open door policy!

HHPD Ranch is Currently the only 100% FREE Therapeutic Horse back riding facility in Colorado. We do not charge the kids anything to ride( not even an application fee like most places) We do not require them to have a sponsor.

The mission of this ranch is to provide FREE Therapeutic Horse back riding to disabled children. Therapeutic Horse back riding is very beneficial for disabled children. Horse therapy can be extremely effective for individuals with physical, emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities.

Horses are incredible animals. They seem to sense when people have special needs and they try their best to adapt to meet those needs. These gentle giants are unbelievably understanding, compassionate and completely non-judgmental. Unless one is deliberately brutal, they continually excuse us for our mistakes. Horses truly give their hearts and souls for the people that love them. It is no wonder then that horses make such wonderful "therapists."

The horse's movements are smooth, and for those who are not able to walk on their own, the riding experience can help to exercise muscles that are used in walking and for balance. For individuals with cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis, the smooth motion of the horse can help to improve balance, overall gross motor function, as well as trunk, pelvic and hip motion. In fact, miracles occasionally occur!
