HELLO FELLOW PHILANTHROPISTS!
We are the Heather Hills Philanthropists. We are a group of (7) 4th graders that attend Heather Hills Talented and Gifted Elementary School in Bowie, MD. We believe that giving brings us closer to creating a world that we want to live in. It starts with each one of us.
Every year we set out to help our community in some shape or form. Our goal this year is to raise $1,000. Wouldn't it be great if together we could do even more? Well we did and our new goal is 1500.00.
We won't just stop if we reach that goal. There is so much more we can do for the children. Help us to far exceed this goal!!!!
This year we are looking to make children who are dealing with "CANCER" smile. We wish there was a cure! In the mean time, if we come together as a community, we can help to make their situation a tad bit more manageable, while God works it all out!
The beneficiary this year will be the Children's National Foundation
Last year, we were so excited and grateful to be able to fill our neighboring food pantry with enough food to feed our community for one month. The Bowie Food Pantry said it was the largest donation ever given by kids our age! We could not have done it without your support!

Board games (Candyland, Sorry, Monopoly, Connect 4, Chutes and Ladders, Life, Jenga, Guess Who)
Coloring books, journals, sketch pads, and word searches
Crayons, colored pencils, and markers
Gimp / lanyard
Infant-24 month toys (rattles, teethers, stacking toys, and toys that light up or make noise
Playing cards and UNO cards
Lego sets for all ages
Stickers
Stuffed animals
Superhero action figures
Teething rings
Toy cars/trucks
$5-$10 gift cards for teens (especially for Target, iTunes, Amazon, etc.)
$25-$100 gift cards (especially for grocery stores, Target, area hotels, gas stations, and American Express/Visa)
Monetary donations to run an offsite apartment (giving.childrensnational.org/drbearscloset)
Clothing – Sweatpants for boys and girls (sizes S-XL) and underwear for women (sizes 6-14)
Travel size toiletries – Deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, kid’s toothpaste, combs and brushes
Items that we cannot accept:
Beanie babies
Breakable items, porcelain, glass, handmade wooden toys, or collectable items
Food/candy/formula
Get-well cards (cards must be void of religious, political, and violent content and should avoid terms like get well or feel better — instead use terms like “Sending you Smiles” or “You Rock”)
Items that are gift-wrapped (all items need to be checked for appropriateness before giving to a patient)
Items that have been exposed to smoke or other strong scents
Latex balloons or anything containing latex
Medical equipment
Play-Dough
Stuffed toys more than 18 inches tall
Toys, books, or movies with sensitive issues (e.g. violence, politics, holidays, religion, death, divorce, weapons, etc.)
Used items
