My wonderful medical team continues to look for the cause of my stroke which happened on July 22, 2013 and how best to treat me to prevent it from happening again.
I continue with ocular, vestibular, neurological, and musculoskeletal rehab, now on an outpatient basis. We've ruled out some things but still not figured out where the clots came from or why. In October 2013 I had a cardiac monitor surgically implanted and we are continue to watch my heart for arrhythmia. Nothing significant to date. I've had the first rounds of hematological tests run, and will have more tests and procedures this year. So we stay the course and hope for answers and a great treatment plan. :)
I am starting this new year by swallowing my pride and looking for solutions. Right now I am struggling with bills. A friend of mine suggested this website, but pride prevented me from doing it. I understood that maybe someone might know of resources or ideas for help if I put the information out there. Information, leads, and the like are free but priceless. I have also come to realize that even if I only raise one dollar, it's one dollar less I have to worry about. So, with that in mind, I am posting this page in case anyone sees it and wants to donate a dollar towards the mountain of outstanding bills.
Thank you for all the support you have given me, especially since my stroke. I appreciate your support, understanding, friendship, love, patience, encouragement, laughter, cooking, and driving. Those are gifts beyond measure and I couldn't have made it this far without you. Thank you.
