#ReapSouls at European Quidditch Cup 2019
Our Club – the Glasgow Grim Reapers
We were established as a student society at University of Glasgow on the 24th February 2017, becoming the fifth addition to a growing circuit of Scottish Quidditch teams.
From our first full season, we have taken the UK by storm, winning Scottish Cup in February 2018, and going on to win Development Cup in April 2018, the largest UK tournament for new and growing teams. You can see us play in the final against Bath QC here.
This year, in the our second competitive season, we have stepped up to challenge some of the biggest teams in the UK. By ranking 4th out of 22 at Northern Cup in November, we secured a spot at the British Quidditch Cup (BQC), and entered our race for the European Quidditch Cup (EQC) as well!
Most recently, we competed at the European Qualifier Tournament in January 2019, where we clashed the best teams in Britain, ranked 4th, and secured a spot at EQC Division 1!

On May 11-12, we will be competing in Harelbeke, Belgium, as one of the top 32 teams in Europe. This is the largest tournament our club has attended since its founding, as well as the most prestigious tournament a European team can compete in.More info here: http://eqc2019.org/div1/.
However, it also includes costs that reflect the size of the tournament - a team registration fee of 650 euros, as well as individual costs of flights and accommodation.
After a year of hard work to qualify, we are faced with the necessity to pay the costs ourselves - something quite difficult for some of our players. That is why we are launching this campaign! It will help us cover the rest of the team registration fee, which would otherwise be split among the rostered players.
