We are a bi-lingual Montessori School in Madison, WI. We have been in business for over 15 years. We currently have 140 students enrolled, with 53% receiving State funds. These are either single parent households or low income. We try to offer a positive environment for their daily care.
To provide a carefully prepared environment based upon the Montessori Education Philosophy where children are able to actively participate to achieve their full potential. The primary mission is to provide and maintain a caring community that promotes mutual respect and support among staff, parents and children.
Students learn to view themselves as contributing members of a diverse global community. We respect and value differences and welcome a rich classroom diversity of economic and social classes, racial and ethnic heritages, religious and spiritual beliefs, physical abilities, and family structures. We treat each other with honest and mutual respect. To enhance a global perspective, other languages are included in our curriculum, as geography and multicultural education.
Our current location does not have a full service kitchen, so we are in the process of moving or needing to make improvements to our current location. This will enable us to prepare nutritious fresh natural foods for our students such as; preparing baby foods, or healthier fresh options that are economical,
We also would like to establish a parent information center. This will provide the information we need to share with our parents and any input the parents need to share with us. We will establish different workshops such as; behavioral healthcare, and workshops that are suggested by parents.
Physical exercise is very important for the development of strong bodies and minds. Our current playground is extremely inadequate for all age groups. Instead of the current pea gravel we are looking to have a grass environment for infants and toddlers. And, an open gross motor skills area for the older children.
We want to reestablish a garden area that will be more convenient for the children to participate.
Please help us make this dream a reality for the future of our children. So the children and parents can have a rich experience to carry on throughout their lives
Our goal is to reach the $55,000.00, to help with the materials, equipment and labor that it’s going to take to achieve these goals. You are always welcome to visit our school to observe the dedication and love our teachers give to the children.
