Grandmaster Sin Goes To China

This is a truly an exciting time to be a Shaolin-Do student Grandmaster Sin has given so much to us all and devoted his entire life to teaching Shaolin-Do. It is time to come to his aid when he needs us the most. This GoFundMe is set up to help Grandmaster Sin make a critical trip to China in this November. A trip that will be important for us all as students of Shaolin-Do. There are three goals for his trip.
Last year Grandmaster Sin travelled to Fujian province and re-discovered his family heritage in mainland China.
We knew that his great grandfather was an important figure in China’s history, but during that trip we found that his ancestor was basically like the Thomas Jefferson of the First Republic of China. It is his Great Grandfathers 150th birthday celebration this November and the family has asked grandmaster Sin to attend this official government event as the eldest direct descendant of this famous man.
The second mission for this trip is continue to build a strong relationship with the newly discovered and re-built Southern Shaolin temple, in Fuching.
While the government rebuilt two other temples in southern China over the past 15 years, grandmaster sin’s family had always passed along the stories that the temple was actually in Fuching. No surprise, Grandmaster was right, the newly rediscovered and rebuilt temple in Fuching was confirmed by historians to be the official southern shaolin temple, right where his family said it was.
Grandmaster Sin’s family was instrumental in promoting and rebuilding this temple and we visited it last year. Grandmaster Sin is very serious about forming a permanent and influential connection between our art and our original ancestral temple.
Finally, after years and years Grandmaster Sin can secure the funding for his movie, written by his daughter Denise. A company in Beijing has committed 10 million to this movie, which is 50% of the budget. But now a Media company in Hangzhou, that owns multiple TV stations, is VERY interested in funding the entire 20 million dollar budget. So this is turning into a bidding war, and all in Grandmaster Sin’s favor.
So you can see that this trip to China is VERY beneficial for Grandmaster Sin and Shaolin-Do in general. I set up this go fund me to help him make this trip possible for our teacher and to help him take advantage of these many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. You can help Grandmaster Sin travel there with the people he needs to make this all happen.
