My Story:
Music has always been my calling. I started making music in the 90's with dreams of money, fame, & women, but not to glorify Christ.
I went on to accomplish many of my childhood dreams. After releasing my second album, "Sellout", I took home 5 Madison Hip-Hop Awards in 2013, one of the biggest years of my career. It left me feeling just like that, a sellout to my Christian upbringing. After accomplishing so much, I couldn't understand why I felt so empty and unfulfilled.
Circumstances started compounding. Hardships at home during Thanksgiving, a failing relationship, and a decades-long sex addiction, were destroying my life. The mental, spiritual, and emotional emptiness finally brought me to my knees in my room saying, "I can't do this anymore." I then surrendered my life to Christ, at my lowest point, realizing I couldn't go on seeking fulfillment from everything else but Him.
This was a turning point in my life and career. After seeking God through spiritual guidance & counsel, renewing my faith, and entering a faith-based 12 step recovery program for my addiction, a "New Me" was born, as well as a new direction for my music. I started work on my third studio album, "Trinity." The lead single, "New Me", carries the rest of the album which glorifies God.
My Mission:
To let people know that Jesus Christ loves them despite their brokenness. To glorify Him and spread his message with my music & videos.
Current Impact:
The initial reception to the song inspired me to start promoting it with targeted ads through Facebook and Youtube in January 2017. Using $100 to market in my "New Me" music video, it has now reached over 46,000 people and garnered 23,000+ views. Sharing my story through this song has produced astounding feedback via comments, likes, shares, and personal messages. This marks the best and most organic response I've received from any of my songs throughout my 20-year career, which is why I'm asking for you to support me in my $4,000 funding goal.
The Plan:
-Use the goal of $4,000 to raise awareness by 4,000% or 40x my original investment.
The Results:
-Anticipating reach of 2 million people with my message.
