Hope for Kyakadali (Uganda)
Donation protected
Our story starts in the Autumn of 2017 when we kicked off a campaign to build a dam for a community in Rural Uganda in the Kyakadali Village (Pronounced as: Chuck-a-dali).
The people of Kyakadali have long been battling harsh living conditions between long summer droughts and poverty. In January 2018, we delivered Phase 1 of the project and completed the dam construction. This was a very important step as water access means disease prevention through improved sanitation and proximity.
Education is key in empowering and uplifting an entire community, which brings us to Phase 2. Currently, the students who manage to make it to class are forced to learn under shabby sheet metal awnings. During the wetter seasons, rain disrupts these classes and the kids are forced to run for shelter.
Give us a hand! Any donation big or small will go a long way.
