An all-star line-up of Australia’s top comedians are rallying to help their friend and one of Australia’s favourite comedians Russell Gilbert.
Triple M Hot Breakfast’s Mick Molloy is hosting Gala 4 Gilbo at the Palais Theatre, St Kilda, Sunday July 17.
If you cannot be there and still wish to donate - here is your opportunity.
Russell suffered through a devastating series of personal and medical issues in late 2015, a brain aneurysm, followed by a stroke has left him reeling.
“Gilbo has always been there for many of us when we needed him and now it’s our turn to help out a mate,” Mick said.
“Not one person we asked to be part of this show said no … I think that says a lot about the man.”
Dave Hughes, Wil Anderson, Richard Stubbs, Lawrence Mooney, Judith Lucy and Trevor Marmalade are just a few lending a hand.
Russell Gilbert says, “It’s so great to know you have such amazing support from your friends. What a line-up of comics! The best in the country. And Mick as well.”
All profits will help to provide for his rehabilitation and ongoing care, and to help him get back on his feet.
