The 2016 Cook Medical Womens Mini Marathon is being run in memory of Gemma Carcaterra.
Gemma Carcaterra (42) was a keen runner and active participant in the Limerick Women’s Mini Marathon.
She last took part in the event in 2015 when her baby triplets were less than three months old.
She died suddenly last February.
Three stars can be found on the back of all commemorative t-shirts this year in honour of Gemma, an inspirational woman who left a huge impression on all who knew her.
Gemma’s running friends ‘The Leggy Ladies’ are running this year’s Cook Medical Women’s Mini Marathon and fundraising in her memory with a special fund set up for her triplets, Ava, Riona and Coen who turned 1 in August.
