Our goal at Great Expectations Together, Inc. is to promote social inclusion of individuals with disabilities. We believe that EVERY community member deserves the opportunity to experience social, educational, and community involvement in an enjoyable, enriching, and inclusive way. We strive to end discrimination against a population of individuals that often cannot fiercely advocate for themselves. Our voices are strong and our passion is even stronger.
Your donations will directly support the following:
1. Funding three part-time positions for individuals with disabilities. Employee starting salary will be $10/hour.
2. Keeping our doors open by supporting our day-to-day business operations (rent, supplies, bills, etc.).
3. Providing sliding scale/free programs for those in financial need.
4. Starting a GET scholarship fund to sponsor individuals in financial need to join the Philadelphia Independence Network ($9,000/year).
5. Continue to provide free programs (support groups, guest speakers, social programs, and structured educational and creative seminars).
6. Sponsor our research team to present at research conferences.
7. Continue to develop our sensitivity training and community outreach programs.
8. Continue to provide recreational activities that crosses all abilities and age spans.
