Start a School in Ghana

Madam Comfort comes from the nearby village of Mpraeso, where there are currently many children looking for an opportunity to go to school. In the area, there are very few primary schools that are accessible, and those that are close are already full. This then leaves many of the children with the only option to travel further distances in order to receive an education. Since it is a far distance, many decide not to enroll. There are also many children in the area who are not enrolled in school because they cannot afford it.

Because Madam Comfort has had so much success in founding and running the Virgin Kids Academy, the community approached Madam Comfort to help open a new school in Mpraeso for these needy children. After meeting some of the children in the area and seeing the need, Meagan and Global Education Network are launching a campaign to help Madam Comfort with the construction and establishment of a school for the village.

This is a long-term project, and we are looking for your help with the beginning phases. Three thousand dollars will help with the clearing of the land, foundational stones, cement, iron rods, and workmanship to construct the classroom buildings. In conjunction with this work, GEN is working with Madam Comfort in developing the curriculum and hiring teachers.
