G.I.T ART (Generating Income Through Art) is a movement to support  youth creatives as a means to provide education, training, classes and supplies.  Our goal is for the creatives to reach their full potential and have the abilities to create a living from their talents.

Creative Crew Member:

Zion Israel Parrish was born a natural talent & artist.   At the tender age of 6, Zion had the opportunity to perform before an audience of three thousand people at the Detroit Opera House’s rendition of “Porgy & Bess” as one of the kids on Catfish Row.  He started off in a hand full of scenes but by the end of the production Zion was present in some capacity throughout the piece where he impressed international opera stars with his work ethic and enthusiasm.  This opportunity was life changing and opened the door for Zion to become a member of the Stage Crafters Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan where he played Little Colt House Jr. in “Ragtime”.  He later participated in a world humanitarian project in 2009 with for Unicef.

It was in 2008 when we noticed that Zion had a natural talent with art as it relates to drawing.  He simply picked up a pencil and has never put it down.  Moving fast forward to 2013, the artist now known as Sparrow Huga presented himself to the world.  With special interest in Anime and future goals to create his own video games, graphic novels and comics, Sparrow Huga’s journey as an artist is taking form.

While following his career, you will see how his art work is very original, “off beat” and tackles a dark subject line while maintaining positive underpinnings of man’s evolution from self to selflessness.   Sparrow Huga illustrates his interpretations of life and the things in it from his fresh and original perspective.  He has a natural ability to face what he sees as a dysfunction of thought, spirit, and physicality into functional artwork.

Sparrow Huga is a self taught artist with no formal training.  2012 he was accepted to the Digital Media Academy Animation and 3-D Design Program.
In 2013, He was accepted into Thomas Starr King Middle School Film/Media Arts Magnet Program and will continue his studies at Hollywood Arts High School Fall 2015.

His goal is to improve his technique, skills and advance in art studies, with a particular interest developing in music production.

Zion currently is attending the Youth FX Urban Media Program this summer where he will learn :
Graphic Design, Set and Prop
Design, Film Making, Illustration, Animation, Music Production, Photography and the Performing Arts (dance, instrumentation)
