Boomer Needs Knee Surgery!!!

Donation protected
Hey everyone our names are Rick and Katie and this is our dog (fur child)  Boomer he's currently three years old and he's been a lemon since the day we adopted him. We adopted him three years ago out in California when he was 12 weeks old and since then he started off with kennel cough three rounds of an intestinal virus and also decided to swallow a covering of a tennis ball which resulted in another emergency! So as you can see he's got quite the string of bad luck. We thought he outgrew it until a year ago when he started limping and we found out that he needed knee surgery. So we went ahead and did that and that cost us a total of $3500 afterwards being the lemon that he is he needed another surgery for that knee which was a revision because the plate they placed had shifted. So we did the revision surgery which was another $1500. After that we finally figured we were out of the woods with boomers mishaps but of course six months down the road he decided that he was going to start limping on the right leg this time and sure enough he tore his CCL in The right knee this time. So we scheduled surgery for yesterday which was July 21 and during the surgery I got a call from the surgeon telling me that they actually had to stop the surgery because Boomer was losing too much blood and they did not know why. So bad that they kept him overnight to make sure that he didn't have any breakthrough bleeding they ran some blood test as well did a couple other test to help diagnose him and came back with the conclusion that Boomer has von Willebrand's disease. This is a blood disorder that causes him not to have the clotting factor in his blood to allow him to clot during surgery or if an injury took place what that means is that now we're going to run the test and see where on the spectrum he lies whether it's severe or not but she said considering the amount of blood he lost that it was most likely severe. so what that means for the future is that when we plan the next surgery which were thinking will be in a month or two once he heals from this then we will have to take some extra precautions something along the lines of a blood transfusion after surgery as well as pretreating with the clotting. So with last nights unexpected adventure for Boomer we've already racked up almost to $750 bill on top of the planned $3100 bill and now for the pretreatment they were going to have for his next surgery that could increase the bill up to 1000 or 1500 dollars more. now it's never easy to ask for help but I'm turning to friends and family to help us get through this with Boomer we're hoping this will be the last and final time that this poor pup need surgery but unfortunately I am starting nursing school and not working right now

and money is tight so anything you can donate would be much appreciated and if you would please share this with your friends and family thank you so much and Boomer sends his love!
And we all know it's hard to ask for help in life so please be kind! Even if you dont have the means to donate please share!
