The Frog Pond Best of the Season CD

The Frog Pond is as distinctive as the performers. The Frog Pond itself is an outdoor stage under a 200 year old Cedar tree on Blue Moon Farm, a property owned by Cathe Steele. Cathe and her songwriter friend Grayson Capps, took inspiration for the Frog Pond house concerts series from the famed “Midnight Rambles” conducted by drummer Levon Helm. As she describes it, the core idea is to bring musicians and serious listeners together in an informal but respectful house concert setting on the farm where the focus is firmly on the music and the community built through artists and listeners. It’s a magical place where music is brought back to it’s roots  in a true listening venue where songwriters and musicians alike come together to “wood shed” and network. We are a not for profit house concert with original music by the performers. All proceeds go to our songwriters.

We are working towards putting a
system in place to capture the live
audio of the music performed at
the Frog Pond Sunday Socials during the months of September through April comprising the Fall/Winter and Winter/Spring seasons. The shows would be assessed and the most inspired and highest quality performances would be compiled, mixed, mastered and released bi-seasonally on CD and permanent digital download. Each release would consist of 12-20 songs. The CD’s would be for sale as physical product and available for download through a newly created website and online storefront.

The Frog Pond would also make the recording equipment available for use at The Frog Pond to our music community of artists and songwriters for the promotion of their origianl music and events.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS, SPONSORS AND SPOTLIGHTS

Any person or company that donates $1,000.00 or more will receive a permanent Executive Producer credit on all releases which will be shown on the back cover artwork alongside the music production credit and embedded in the digital metadata. Executive Producers will be featured on the website. Sponsorships will be awarded to anyone donating at the $500.00 level. A sponsorship credit will appear on the 2015/2016 CD release artwork and metadata following the production credits. Anyone donating at the $250.00 level will receive a Spotlight on the website for the 2015/2016 season. All persons who donate $25 and above will receive a free CD set of the 2015/2016 season.
