Help Serin Get Treatment for Crohns

Donation protected
My sister Serin is now 28, she got diagnosed with Crohn's disease during her senior year, at the age of 18. At that time, she was also helping take care of our mom who had been diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer.  She always took care of mom before herself, but since our mom passed away in 2010, Serin has been trying to control her Crohn's Disease. Serin's weight had dropped to 88pounds and she was in constant pain all the time. She had tried several oral medications and seen different GI doctors.  In January of 2012 she finally had a couple months of relief. Her GI at the time finally put her on TPN, which is where you get all your nutrients through an access point (she had a PICC line placed). The surgery consisted of removing several inches of small bowel and colon, fistulas, and some abscess'. They gave her a temporary ileostomy. She was in the hospital for almost a month after surgery because the amount of intestine after the stomach was so short that she wasn't able to absorb any nutrients (which is the main job of the small bowel). The doctors only let her go home because they put her back on TPN so that she could get her nutrients still. A few weeks into being home she had to go back to the hospital for fluid around her right lung. Chest tubes were placed and she was bed bound for two weeks. She finally got to go home. Serin started feeling better and the reversal for her stoma took place in April 2012. She was then put on Humira in August and finally went into remission. Unfortunately her health insurance at the time kicked her off of Humira and wanted her GI to reapprove the prescription. Her GI had left the clinic without informing her though so she went several months trying to get a new GI, so when she finally found one and restarted Humira it no longer worked because her body built an immunity to it. She is currently seeing a GI who has tried almost all the biologic medicines, steroids, chemo drugs, and other oral medications. her GI isn't sure how to treat her Crohn's because it is now completely covering her small bowel and has created a pouch of Crohn's. She is currently not allowed to eat any food to try and rest her bowel, and hooks up to TPN every night. This still isn't helping anything and she has been doing this since September. -------- UPDATE -------
In August of 2016 I had my stoma placed for the second time. This helped my disease calm down until it became active again in December 2016. My disease is mainly located in my small bowel, which is the bowel that you need most because you absorb the nutrients that you need to survive. I have had all of the small bowel removed that is able to be, so that I can continue living. I have been on almost every biologic treatment and immunosuppressant pills that are out there, but my body doesn't respond to them or will only respond for a few months and then reject them. I have been nauseated 24/7 and in constant immense pain. Unfortunately my GI thinks that Tylenol will treat chronic pain. It doesn't.. Especially when you take Tylenol every day for 8 years straight. Since my small bowel is the main affected area and we can't remove anymore, my GI currently has no clue what to do to help me now. So I'm hoping this GoFundMe will help to get to the Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately the Mayo Clinic doesn't take Medicare or Medicaid which is what I have for insurance. I rely on help from the government because I am physically unable to work more than one day a week at my job. So because of this I would need to have funds to pay cash for the tests and procedures that will need to be done, also funds to get there and back. Anything will help and is more appreciated than you would know. I just want to be able to live my life again. THANK YOU❤️❤️ -------- Any help is more than appreciated!!
