"No words". Indeed, there are no words. Shattered, broken hearts? Yes. Words? They fail us in such a time.
My name is Steve Zahorian. As so many now know, The Findley family has lost their oldest child, Deonnah 22, to a car accident early this morning, June 25th. And as so many also know, fifteen years ago The Findleys lost there second born child, Micah, as a toddler.
For any of us who know the Findleys, and have had the joy of knowing them over the years, we find ourselves numb, broken-hearted, and seemingly helpless in this time of unimagineable grief for a family that has endured trials and suffering that most of us will never know.
With my heart completely broken for the Findleys, yet open to the Lord's direction to the question, "What can I do?", well, here's what I can do...and I am inviting you to join me.
Financial responsibilities don't stop when our lives are, for a time, crushed under the weight of tragedy. The prayer of my heart for The Findleys, in the coming months, is that they can spend their time healing, go to places of healing, and surround themselves with people who will help them heal. The prayer of my heart is that, in some measure, their financial responsibilities will be met and financial burdens lifted.
For anyone who knows The Findleys, then you know this is good seed to sow. And I encourage you to sow with LOVE and a GENEROUS heart.
