Bring Delilah Back To The Mountains

From the moment I picked up this little girl, she has been nothing but full of energy and excitement. For anyone who has had the chance to meet Delilah, they will tell you two things; she is crazy... but she is the happiest puppy they've ever met! Since she was 6 weeks old, she has been by my side, hiking and climbing... making it to the top of every peak and kicking my butt along the way. After making it 16 miles, climbing 10,064 feet up Mt Baldy, I decided to sign us both up for the 6 Pack of Peaks Challenge; bagging 6 of the most difficult peaks in Southern California. 

All of that came to a hault this past weekend when she was hit by a car on a busy street near our house. Her hips have collapsed and will need sugery. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to operate, because her lungs are not quite strong enough yet to withstand the surgery. The surgeon is very hopeful of a full recovery. Knowing that she will go back to being the tough, active puppy that she was, I just cannot give up on her! I am doing everything I can to save her life!

Delilah will be a year old on March 6th and she deserves nothing less than a long, healthy life ahead of her! I will fight for her while she can't fight for herself!

The love and support I have received from all of my friends and loved ones has been overwhelmingly unexpected. I cannot thank everyone enough for your sympathy and kindess through this terrible time! You have all been just absolutley incredible!
