Fight for Bailey

We would like to take a moment to tell you about a dear friend of ours who is in need of some help. His name is Bailey Thomas Chesson. At just 1 year old in April 2014 Bailey was flown into the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne after doctors finding Leukaemia cells in his blood. After suffering with multiple surgeries including bone marrow aspirates, Lumbar Puncture’s, Orchiectomy of left testicle & Line insertions it wasn’t until May 23rd that Bailey and his family received the diagnosis; Acute Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Treatment for this involves Weekly Blood Tests, Chemotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions & bone marrow transplant (Once a compatible donor is found) After many dreaded needles, surgeries & appointments throughout the past year Bailey has gone from a healthy, Happy and over intelligent child to having to learn to walk and talk again, at 2 years and 8 months old today he is currently speaking at the rate of a 6-8 month old. Bailey and his family still have a long fight on their hands and we are hoping we can help.
Bailey’s Mother Josephine, Father Pete and family has conveyed unbelievable strength and optimism throughout Bailey’s journey and still continues to help other people in their time of need. I on behalf of family and friends plan raise funds to help relieve some of the financial burden that Josephine & Pete have endured over the past year and hope to cover some future expenses too.
