Fighting Hunger With A Food Truck
Donation protected
In 2012, we opened our own food truck
business called Kadooks! Costa Rican Fusion Food. We feel so blessed to have this
opportunity in life. We know that for whatever reasons, there are many people
who could not dream of an opportunity such as this. We do know that the end
result is from hard work, planning and sacrifice, but we do know that the many
factors in our life, like a loving family, have lead us to this place. We do
not take lightly that we have been given this opportunity and gift. We now feel
that we need to be good stewards of this gift. For this reason, we would like to
take our food truck business and turn it into a mobile soup kitchen. We'd like
to take the food truck out to the areas in Tucson where we have seen a need, in
order to serve hot and healthy meals. We will not
discriminate nor judge those who come to our window for a meal. Our meals will
be served with unconditional love, something we know the people we will serve
have rarely experienced. The meals will
be prepared and served with the same care and consideration that goes into
every meal we serve from our truck to our paying customers. This is a dream we
have had since before we even built the truck and ever since we first took the
truck out on Christmas Day of 2012, a week after we opened, to serve free hot
meals to anyone in need.
We all see them; we all know they are there. We feel it's time to do something and give something that we can offer, a hot, healthy meal to every person in need in Tucson. We ask that you to join us in this simple journey of "Operation Food Truck". Our mission is to raise enough money so that we can serve 15,000 meals right here in Tucson, AZ. We know that may seem like a lot, but that's 15,000 less people who will go hungry, when sometimes the hunger can be so strong, nothing else matters. That's 15,000 people who will know, even for just one moment that their needs are being met. That's 15,000 people who may feel that there is hope, and that they can face another day. That's 15,000 people who may have never known unconditional love, but for that moment, we hope with all our hearts, that they will know that they are loved. Please join us in whatever way you can, no matter how big or small in providing healthy meals for those in need. The journey starts today:let's do it together.
