SAVE a horse: BUILD stalls: Read a book
The money is for a horse rescue that is 100% volunteer driven. NO one takes a salary ever. There are no indoor stalls for the elderly or sick horses in the winter; there is no indoor arena for exercise in inclement weather. Our rescue needs indoor facilities--the horses are struggling to get through another winter. Please help us build some stalls and an indoor arena--this is a critical need in the Colordo mountains.
A couple years ago I wrote a book about rescued dogs. I will send a signed copy of my book, Nothing Ventured, with a personal note from Esther to anyone who donates at least $25 for the horses. The horses cannot say thanks but you will have the eternal gratitude of every volunteer, especially our little one, Esther. No horse has a chance of being adopted unless it's healthy and overcomes its fear of people. Esther is 7 years old. She hauls hay, fills water troughs, curries, picks hooves and, as you see, saddles. Esther loves Jasper and when the Jeep goes through the gates, he comes trotting to the fence--Jasper knows his happy time has arrived. Children and adults help heal the wounds inside and out of the rescued animals. Loving animals helps us love people a little bit more.
The Far View Horse Rescue is dedicated to providing shelter, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. The cruelty of humans is only exceeded by the compassion of many other people. If you can't be the hands to comfort an abused animal, you can be the donation that pays the bills.
Please help us build shelter from the frigid winds that whip down the mountains in winter and the scorching sun that beats down mercilessly in the summer. Help us provide for horses that will have successful adoptions and for horses who will live out their lives at the ranch. A warm shelter in winter and cool refuge in summer will extend the life and preserve the health of our horses.
The volunteers at the rescue are encouraged by monetary donations of any size--they know there are many places for your money and thank you from the bottom of their boots for your help.
