Elmer's Harvey Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is David.  I met Elmer on a service call to his house for his Internet.  It wasn't long before I figured out that this man needed help, and a lot of it.  His home flooded in Harvey almost a year ago.  His luck hasn't changed much since then.  He is a 70 year old veteran, served 2 years in active duty and 4 years in the reserves.  He worked his whole life, owns his home and just recently lost his wife back in January.  10 years ago she slipped and fell and hit her head, she never fully recovered and lived out her days at a nursing home. 4 years ago Elmer had a stroke and is partially parilized from that.  His roof leaks, there's a lot of mold from the flood and leaking.  He has three small dogs, and that's about it.  Not much has been done since Harvey on his home. There is a lot of mold, he had one window unit in his bedroom and I have since brought him another one to try and cool things off.  He says it gets up to about 100 degrees in his house. Im trying to get some volunteers to help him restore his home to at least make it livable.  He needs a new roof, everything gutted from his home floor walls and ceilings furniture and exterior repairs as well.  He gave me permission to take his picture and get his story out there.  He never asked me for help, I think that's just the kind of man he is.  Anything helps and if you can offer any other assistance feel free to reach out to me through GoFundMe.
