South Beach area students: Seniors Enapay Croy, Aaron Doull, and Kaylie Prieur; Junior Kaden Smith; Freshmen Evan Smith, Samatha Starkey, and Markay Williams; and 7th grader Jayson Davidson have put in thousands of hours as a team to build a robot that will perform prescribed tasks at a competition setting.

Deadline Looming! Time is of the essence. Teams planning to participate in Houston must register and remit their non-refundable $1,000 registration fee no later than March 24. The team can’t afford to lose that $1,000, so must determine whether or not they can raise enough funds to send students to the competition by then. Any contribution on your part will be most gratefully accepted and appreciated.

4H Ocosta Robotics is a registered non-profit under 4H. Your donation may be tax deductible, please see your tax professional for further details.

We did it! Thanks to our community, we now have enough funding to send the entire team. Every student will be heading to World Championships to take part in the competition. The Grays Harbor Community has really stepped in to support this program. The support everyone has shown these students gives them an opportunity that they will likely remember for the rest of their lives. World Championships is the culmination of these student's learning, troubleshooting, dedication and teamwork.
Any donations received after we have reached our goal still helps the team in case of unexpected expenses or will help fund the program after this season is over.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook during the next few weeks and while we are at competition. www.facebook.com/FTC11121
A special thank you to our corporate sponsors. They have stepped in and made a huge difference for these students and this program.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far. You are all Fin-tastic. We are very for-tuna-te to have such a supportive community. These fish puns are Kraken me up, time to scale back.

The robotics team has raised enough funds to send the minimum crew to World Championships!

Registration is paid, hotel rooms are reserved, and flights are booked. The flight costs were more than we anticipated plus a few other unseen expenses, thus making the total cost we shared in the past a little off. Since offline donations are not counted here on GoFundMe, our goal is now correct for sending every student, rather than the minimum.

Busy Month Ahead

The students are very excited and are making the necessary preparations for competition. They have to repair the robot’s damage from the last competition. The students also have a few changes and upgrades to the robot they feel are needed. They will continue working on their Engineering Notebook (a summary of this season’s build). They will also be practicing their Judges Presentation, anyone who meets a robotics student, please ask them questions, it’s the best practice for them.

We still need help!

We are still short from being able to send the entire team. We feel that every student should be able to share in the experience and take part in the World Championships. Students that attend World Championships also get a chance to visit Scholarship Row, where they can meet representatives from some of the colleges that make up for over $50million in scholarships to FIRST students. There is plenty of work for every student at competition.

Please continue to share this with anyone you know to help us get the word out.

You can visit our Facebook page to keep up with the team’s progress.

A huge THANK YOU to our FIN-tastic Sponsors.
