We are focusing our efforts on helping the FDNY members reach out to those families that have lost their personal homes and belongings, EVERYTHING, following Hurricane Sandy in the New York area. Many live in the destroyed areas that you have seen on the news, such as Rockaway, Breezy Point, and Staten Island. Check out the below interview with Katie Couric:

There are several ways you can help us assist the FDNY who are serving these communities; the area has no power, basements are still flooded, and personal belongings are in need of disposal.
It is important to recognize there is still no power and a shortage of gasoline:

"¢ D and AA batteries
"¢ Motor oil
"¢ Paper towels, paper plates, disposable cups and eating utensils
"¢ Toiletries of all kinds
"¢ Water proof boots and clothes
"¢ Work gloves (especially heavy duty rubber).
"¢ Industrial coffee maker
"¢ Industrial fridge
"¢ Industrial stove
"¢ Radiant heat unit
"¢ Blades (saw blades, razor knives with razor blades)
"¢ Cleaning supplies
"¢ Screw Guns
"¢ Sheet rock
