Hello, my name is Essie and I could use your help even if it’s just a couple of dollars. it would really help me advance in life. When I was 11 I was in an automobile accident that changed my life. It took away the freedom I didn't even know I had at the time, a freedom that most take for granted. The freedom to run, to jog to skip, to jump rope, to climb. That accident may have taken part of my life away but that doesn't mean it took all my life. I might not have had the normal teenage years that most had but it was still pretty good compared to some. It’s taken me this long to take up the courage to want to try and drive and I need your help to reach that goal. I have always been independent and not having a car has stripped the last bit of independence I could have. I have so many college classes I attend weekly and doctors’ appointments that I feel like such a burden to my friends and family asking for rides all the time. It might seem like I'm asking for a lot of money but this money will help with purchasing the car and getting the needed modifications for me to drive it. I will be donated 10% of the money I receive in the end to the Ronald McDonald house because they helped my family when we needed it after our car accident and they help other families when they need help as well. The type of car I wish to purchase is a 2019 Volkswagon Beetle with silk blue metallic paint and titan black seats in the interior. which cost around $23,000. I'm looking for a brand new one so it will last longer. The cost associated with modifying a new vehicle with adaptive equipment can cost from $20,000 to $80,000. So it should cost around $68,000 give or take.
