2018 Egun Omode Tour Richmond , VA
Donation protected
Egun Omode (Children of the Ancestors) is Trenton, NJ's own West African drum and dance, Yoruba folklore performing arts group. The company extends from the Garvey School/Egun Omode Shule, an African-centered independent school in Trenton. As African-centered educators, musicians and lifelong students of African culture , Egun Omode brings the authenticity and excitement of West African culture and tradition to the stage. Our greatest jewel is the vibrant children dancers and drummers that illumunate the stage.
Every Year, they come to Richmond, VA and bring their amazing production. It costs a great deal to transport theatre/stage equipment.
In addition, there are many children performers who need to be fed and housed!
To be granted financial assistance to feed the children and move equipment would be conducive to Egun Omode, and would be appreciated beyond what mere words can express. Any amount will help. Asante sana!!
