Edan Cicerone Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
3rd ANNUAL DONATION DRIVE
(Anniversary May 30th 2021)
Please consider supporting our annual scholarship fund to encourage and award a student who supports justice and equality for our LGBTQ community
Last May we had two scholarships go out despite Covid. We hope this scholarship will be perpetual.
This is a Memorial Donation made to honor the life of Edan Cicerone. All donations will be awarded to an eligible High School student And will be directed to the Edan Cicerone Scholarship Fund at the Blue Hills Bank in Milton, Mass. (Trustee Paul Cicerone).
Edan Cicerone was born on June 30, 1994, and passed away in his sleep on May 30, 2018. Edan grew up in Milton, Massachusetts and attended Lesley University. He was pursuing a career as a social worker. Edan was working with disabled adults, special needs children, and animals when he passed . Edan had a hard time seeing how anyone could be cruel, or non accepting to another person. He was gifted in treating the ‘underdogs” with the utmost kindness and sincerity. With this humanity, came tremendous respect.
This scholarship is in hopes to remind people , that love , kindness and acceptance is a job we can all be better at. Candidates for the scholarship will write a small essay about how they have contributed to driving justice and equality and assisted in creating unity. We are in hopes the mere offer of the scholarship will encourage people to self -assess themselves in what , if anything , they have done to contribute or divide human kindness and acceptance.
The first scholarship was awarded this year, on May 28th 2019 for $2500.00
