Since 2005, Early Childhood Academy Public Charter School has provided quality academic instruction to students in the Ward 8 community and throughout the District of Columbia. ECA has earned and maintained a Tier 1 status from the DC Public Charter School Board and has been designated as a High Performing School. Our students are soaring and our test scores prove it. We love what we do and we love our students!
Over the last 13 years, we have operated as one school in two separate community centers. Our classrooms are small and the division of spaces between the two buildings has made it challenging to implement our robust educational program. But we are thrilled to announce that we have begun construction of a brand-new facility in our same Ward 8 southeast - Washington Highlands neighborhood, to open in the summer of 2019. Financing for the building has been secured but your help is needed to provide the finishing touches that will furnish this new state of the art facility with all the resources that our fantastic students deserve. Our goal is to raise $500,000 for our new school to purchase:
-Playground soft surface and playground equipment
-Tech lab hardware, including new computers, printers, and smart board
-White boards, computers, and monitors for each classroom
-New desks, tables, and chairs for all students
-New mats for prekindergarten students
