Two women diagnosed with HIV one for 22 years and the other for 19 years and they are tired of how HIV is looked at in society and decided to do something to change that! To end the HIV epidemic and the stigma that is attached to HIV and make a difference.

Women of color are disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic. So Pozitively Dee's Discussion is taking her show on the road along Deirdre Johnson traveling through 15 states driving over 5000 miles and 100 hours through the South, an area that is at the heart of this nation’s epidemic. Since HIV disproportionately impacts people of color in the South the ladies will visit community members, health care providers, schools, ASO's and other service providers to engage with women of color, women of trans experience and their networks of friends and services. Documenting the journey and experiences while providing basic information about STI and HIV testing and care options in an effort to drive out stigma towards HIV and increase the public’s knowledge of how HIV has affected so many lives of women today. Recording and live-streaming every moment to show the reality and impact of stigma towards HIV in women of color, how mental health plays a part in getting diagnosed, and how open conversations and living outside of the shadows can reduce that stigma and fear... HIV doesn't just affect one person it affects us all and together we can all make a change.
We are asking that you help us along our drive to get through these states to purchase gasoline, for hotel stays and snacks. While waiting for possible funding this drive is very costly and with the community, on our side, we know we can get through this much-needed drive.
