Our Story
In 2012, Fremont Street Theater Company in Palatine, Il, was founded by a great man, a giant of a man, Sandy Sandquist. After a very brief illness, this wonderful young man passed in 2013 before our second show went into production. His widow and two daughters carried on for two more years but this company was Sandy's vision. This is his legacy!

Our Show 6th Show
What makes our "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" the must see show?  We pride ourselves in selecting our cast from the finests actors in the Chicagoland community.  Our shows have been nominated  20 times and won  3 BroadwayWorld in Chicago Non-Equity Awards.  With
award winning Director Madelyn Franklin as the helm and the return of  award winner Musical Director, Kenneth James McMullen this is a show that you will remember for years to come.   We've been called "Broadway in Palatine",! We have the drive and the passion and the guts to put on big musicals, but we need financial assistance. This would mean the world to us.

What Can you do?
We are only able to do our shows with your help. Please donate to this production today. We've been called "Broadway in Palatine", because we do such great work! We have the drive and the passion and the guts to put on big musicals, but we need financial assistance. This would mean the world to us.

All of the proceeds would go directly towards the cost of costumes designed and built by Marcy Angsurat and sets designed and built by Brett Baleskie (also playing The Beast) and his incredible volunteer crew. Both brilliant designers!

A community theater company cannot rely solely on ticket sales to keep their dreams and their company vison moving forward, but through the kind generosity of sponsors and funding campaigns such as gofundme. We would be eternally grateful for your support in any way.

About Beauty and the Beast
The Fremont Street Theater Company proudly returns with its annual production, this year presenting the most beloved fairy tale,  a tale as old as time,  the Tony-Award winning “Disney's Beauty and the Beast.”

"Disney's Beauty and the Beast" is a dream come true for us",  says Madeline Franklin,  FSTC Artistic Director and the show's director, "it's the most magical Disney tale come to life.  I have loved the movie since it's release 26 years ago.  This beautiful story has recently been reintroduced to millions with the new movie this year.
It is indeed, "a tale as old as time".   So many incredible actors of all ages, technicians, designers,  musicians, stage personnel and dedicated volunteers have all come together to put on this beautiful show.  I can't wait for kids of all ages to see our production when we open in September."

Making her Fremont Street Theater Company debut as our choreogapher, is professional actress and choreographer, Kara Williams Posmer. She says "I am very excited to work with this extremely talented cast. There are many possibilities wth their talent and this includes the incredible score and script".

FSTC veteran Kenneth James McMullen returns this summer for his 6th production as the show’s Musical Director.

If you love theater and want to help bring the magic of Disney's Beauty and the Beast to Palatine - please donate to fund the set to create the enchanting world we all love and the costumes that allow the actors to transform into your favorite characters such as Belle, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and of course, The Beast.
