Getting Fit to help the Homeless!

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

My name is Dionne Smith  and i am a hairstylist living in london. I have been doing hairstyling for over 20 years, I have alot of passion and motivation for hair and my industry and really enjoy what i do.

I have always wanted to be fitter and healthier, but seriously struggled with this aspect of my life. Friends and family have always said to me "Dionne what ever is driving you when it comes to work and your brand, if only you could implement this to your health and fitness"

I am not massively over weight but i could be abit leaner and fitter, but for me, i have to want to do it and really stick to it and this is where i lack.

Myself and fiance got baptised in 2014 and since then have been on our christian walk which hasnt been easy but the blessing are great all the same.

We recently started working with community ministries and for the first time in my life i went to feed the homeless Nov2015. I knew straight away that i wanted to do more and help them and it sure was a humbling experience!

We when to our church homeless shelter which they had put on over the festive period it was 7 days of a bed, food and warmth for the homeless. Met some really lovely homeless people like Tam, Anthony & Grace.
We went to assist with the homeless, spend time with them, inspire, talk and help them where we could.

Most of them were asking for such minor things that we take for granted on a daily basis, females especially wanted simple things like baby wipes, sanitary, socks etc.

This lead me to think about how i could raise money to help and support them.
So i decided to start up a blog where i will be documenting what i get up to as a hair stylist and also My Journey to Fitness.

I do have abit of a followering on social handles and im hoping to reach people and gain as much support as possible, maybe even get people thinking.... or getting involved.

I want to raise money for the homeless, to buy sleeping bags, hats, gloves, socks, body warmers, toiletries, all the neccesities they need and to distribute those things all over london.

So i had my light bulb moment & thought if i had a reason to work hard and get fit i could do it more easily.
So im putting myself under the spotlight to try and raise this 10K and im hoping i get support.

My fiance has decided to join me on this venture which is a added bonus and helps to motivate me so im well happy about that.

I will be aiming to get to 11.5 stone from 13.5, get fit and toned, which will be one of the hardest things next to child birth i have ever done in my life.

We will run the fundraise till the end of the year, maybe november, so we can give out all the lovely gifts for the festive period of 2016 and put a smile on many peoples faces. Just cant wait for this moment!

Through out i will still continue to feed them and assist them where i can.

We will be documenting the entire journey on my blog so you can keep up with our progress and our falls (hands over face) but our journey to fitness.

It would really mean alot to me to gain the support of you all and even to get an encouraging word or two on my blog to help us to keep going.

All money raised will be used to purchase, the above plus more and food.

Words could not explain what it woud mean to me and how thankful myself and many homeless people would be.
